Athletic Training (MS)

Program Features

The Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) curriculum focuses on real-world learning to prepare students to become certified athletic trainers.

Students spend four semesters gaining hands-on clinical experience working with certified athletic trainers in a variety of settings including Xavier University Division I athletics, local high schools, rehabilitation clinics, professional sport teams, hospitals and more.

Students in the MSAT program become certified as Emergency Medical Responders. They also earn a HawkGrips Certification and receive their Level-I IASTM Fundamentals certification.

Our most recent comprehensive accreditation review was in 2020-21 and we were awarded a 10-year accreditation period (the maximum possible). Our next comprehensive review is slated for 2030-31.
